Men north of the border are heading south when it comes to laser hair removal it seems – as Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group has seen enquiries for male hair removal procedures soar among men in Scotland. More and more Scottish males are asking about 'brozillians' and treatments for their 'boykini' line than ever before, according to the latest figures.

During the first three months of 2011, Transform's clinics in Scotland have seen a rise of more than a third (34 per cent) in enquiries about male laser hair removal compared to the same quarter of 2010.

'Brozillians' or 'Boykini' line hair removal involves being waxed during up-keep sessions every four weeks – and is being used by males north of the border who want to de-fuzz ahead of the summer.

Commenting on the trend, Transform spokesperson Shami Thomas said: "Laser hair removal is a long-lasting solution to removing hair for both men and women and has been popular with women for many years. Regular shaving, painful plucking and expensive waxing can be a pain in the you-know-what and it's fantastic to see more Scots men coming in seeking a permanent solution.

"We have seen a real surge in this type of enquiry this year and we expect a high proportion of these to lead to bookings. Whether this is due to 2011 male swimwear trends showing more leg or just that Scots men are becoming more body conscious, this is a service that we offer at our Scottish clinics and we're delighted that it is becoming more popular."

Clients at Transform's Scottish cosmetic surgery clinics are able to be treated using a Pain-Free, Hair-Free system, which removes hair super-fast with no pain, making it the gentlest hair removal option in the UK.
