National Doughnut Week is a nationwide fundraising event benefiting the Children's Trust charity. The Children's Trust aims to help and support children and the families of children with multiple disabilities, and especially brain injured children. This can include children who are born with a disability or children who begin life as a healthy child and become the victim of an accident later in childhood.

Now in its twentieth year, National Doughnut Week has so far raised £700,000 and in 2011 it is hoped that a minimum of £50,000 can be raised through doughnut sales.

Bakers across the country can register to donate all or part profits from their doughnut sales during National Doughnut Week. Registration costs £5 and includes a point of sale promotional pack as well as a voucher giving money off doughnut concentrate or a tray of ready iced ring doughnuts ready for sale. Packs are provided and funded by CSM UK, the largest supplier of bakery products worldwide.

The Children's Trust hopes their fundraising wishes will come true in 2011 by achieving their £50,000 target. Based in Tadworth, the charity encourages visits from families of the children based at the Trust Centre. Being less than half an hour's drive from the wide choice of hotel Gatwick Airport makes this possible for families from around the country.
