The Broken Heart: Protect Your Heart from Daily Stress and Emotional Upheavals, a new book by Dr. Tali T. Bashour, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Dr. Bashour has been practicing in the San Francisco area for over 25 years. He is a clinical Professor at the University of California in San Francisco and Director of Intramural Education at the San Francisco Heart Institute at Seton Medical Center.

He finished his medical training and Cardiology fellowship at the George Washington University, where he joined the faculty and was awarded "Outstanding Teacher of the Year." He has authored over 125 medical publications. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was on the main Editorial Board of the American Heart Journal for about ten years. While still working in San Francisco, he volunteered for the position as the first Dean of the new Faculty of Medicine at the University of Balamand in Lebanon, and is currently Vice President of the University for Medical Studies and a member of its Board of Trustees. De. Bashour's contributions include early recognition of Emotional Heart Disease, Coronary Spasm, and Heart Muscle "Hibernation."
