DirectRooms.com announces that Perth in Scotland will be hosting its annual arts festival this May which will be featuring an impressive line up of artists and performers.

Perth Festival of the Arts 2011 celebrates artistic creations in all their forms including visual art and music of all styles such as opera, dance, folk, jazz and rock. Opening the show this year will be Alistair McGowan to entertain audiences with his perfect impressions of celebrities and people within the media. He'll be picking up the microphone to provide his own laughable insights into all kinds of situations from love, anger and even romance.

Fans of comedy can also catch Greg Davies performing his Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show 'Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog' and the ludicrous musicians that make up the Rainer Hersch's Classical Comedy Orchestra.

Other highlights not to be missed are Jools Holland playing with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and the various classical recitals and opera performances.

The festival will take place between 18th and 29th May 2011 and the performances will be spread over three locations, these being the Perth Concert Hall, St John's Kirk and the Perth Theatre. With such a leading collection of performers Perth hotels are set to become fully occupied as people attend the concerts.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The festival attracts people of all tastes and thousands of extra visitors will be in Perth which will almost certainly cause the majority of hotels to be booked out."
