LOS ANGELES—-Life was one high-flying act for wrestling superstar Steve Borden, aka "Sting." Donning his outrageous black-and-white face paint and costume, Sting stormed to the top of the wrestling profession. He captivated more than a half billion people worldwide. Ten times he captured the World Championship wrestling title. Twice he pinned wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. Sting reaped the money, power and popularity of being an international superstar.

Behind the costume and glamour of big-time wrestling, however, Borden was pinned flat on his back. His life was in shambles. Borden's marriage faltered on the brink of failure. His severe addiction to prescription drugs was destroying him. The champion of the world and inventor of the Scorpion Death Lock was now seeing his world crash down around him.

In a rare one-on-one television interview hosted by Paul Crouch Jr. on "Behind the Scenes," a weekly talk show format airing on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), professional world-class wrestler "Sting" shared intimately about his once larger-than-life persona. He confessed how that in itself created larger-than-life problems that proved humanly unsolvable. Then he reached out to discover that Jesus Christ was larger than life. Indeed it was this Savior who solved his personal problems.

In a powerful and moving testimony, Borden shared about his salvation experience and unfolding relationship with Jesus Christ. This resulted in thousands of e-mails pouring into TBN on Thursday, Oct. 28, just moments before the world premiere of his new movie, "Sting: Moment of Truth" (Dove Canyon films: www.sting-themovie.com).

Crouch related after the interview: "Steve Borden will always be a wrestling superstar, but today we heard from a true champion for Christ."
