The Forgotten Children, a new book by Steve Rothenberg, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Steve Rothenberg and his wife worked as group home "house parents" for many years, tending to children of various ages and backgrounds. Their experiences familiarized them with the many inadequacies in the system and its effect on the children.

In The Forgotten Children, Rothenberg details the trials and tribulations of running a group home. He recounts both positive and frustrating experiences he and his wife had with the children over the years and outlines the realities of what life is like for children in group homes and foster homes.

Steve Rothenberg and his wife, Cheryl, are both now retired from their work in group homes, but they continue to work with troubled teens in their California community. He currently volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate for kids through the CASA program and helps out at the local high school. He also enjoys collecting and restoring antiques, horseback riding, and reading.

The Forgotten Children is a 114-page perfectbound with a retail price of $15.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-0992-3. Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania published it.
