Organised by the Adelaide & Metropolitan Malayalee Association, the event has become one of the city's biggest and best-loved multicultural celebrations.

The show features colourful performances that span everything from Bollywood and folk dancing to music played by an Indian orchestra.

Guest stars from other nationalities and backgrounds will also appear at the Adelaide Kalamela, offering the audience an insight into a wide array of cultures and traditions.

As well as the stage show, the event gives visitors the chance to enjoy delicious takeaway snacks from the subcontinent.

Free childminding is available during the concert.
