Beverly, MA – Uniworld Business Publications, Inc. (www.uniworldbp.com) announces that the United States Department of Commerce library has selected Uniworld Online as their featured online resource for the month of May. After publishing two hardcover books, Directory of American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries and Directory of Foreign Firms Operating in the United States since 1955 these unique directories went out-of-print in January 2010 and were replaced with two new Internet accessible databases. "We've only had our data fully online for about two years so we're thrilled that the DOC so quickly recognized the value of our products to international commerce. Being featured says far more about the credibility of our data than had they simply purchased a subscription" according to Christopher Shimkin, President of Uniworld Business Publications.

These authoritative online databases, "American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries" and "Foreign Firms Operating in the United States" contains over 295,000 unique listings of headquarters, branches, subsidiaries and affiliates in over 200 countries. Designed for use by libraries, universities, legal, tax, management and business services firms, employment agencies, consultants, private equity, government and others, the databases feature the most current contact information available on multinational corporations with operations throughout the world.

The new online products are a relational database combining the relevant company features of location, revenue, and industry type among others to assist in narrowing a search. Unlike publishing in book format, the new online databases allow Uniworld to include far more information and have it updated daily by their own researchers.

Uniworld Business Publications, Inc. sells through multiple channels, including leading wholesale distributors and direct to businesses and individuals throughout the world.
