As Alice grew older, being around her mother at all times was impossible because she had her own family. Certain circumstances, however, allowed them to reunite once again and live close to one another.

Unfortunately, Alice increased in weight, affecting her self-esteem. She then decided to seek doctors' help regarding her condition. But this became the beginning of the end for Alice and her family. She became addicted to prescription drugs, eventually leading to her death by overdose.

About the Author:
Born in Pisgah, Alabama, Jeanie Dobbs was almost an August baby, having been born close to midnight. Growing up with three brothers-her sister left their home when Jeanie was little-Jeanie was considered a tomboy.

In 1960 she went to Florida, married, and had six children, whom she considers the best things that ever happened in her life. Amidst marriage failure four times, she married William "Ricky" Dobbs. They still live in Wildwood, Florida. She is a Christian woman who glorifies and loves the Lord.
