May 25, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
The third and final session of the Namsang Million Person Walking Festival will take place in Seoul next month.

With the first two occasions held in April and May, the concluding chapter of this incredible event is scheduled for June 11th 2011.

It sees thousands of people at a time walking a 7.5 km route from Namsang Fountain Square. The festival is free to take part in, but people must sign up online.

The National Theatre of Korea and Seoul City Hall are just two of the sights people can see on the route.

If attendees are lucky, they may catch sight of the Korean celebrities involved, which includes Olympic marathon gold medallist Hwang Young-cho, who won at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

Some other famous faces set to appear are finalists from the Miss Korea beauty contest and several high-profile circus and music groups.

The starter pistol will fire at 10:00 local time, with the course expected to take people about two hours to complete, although there is a shorter route available.

Culture travellers can use AsiaRooms.com to browse a wide range of Seoul hotels, including the IP Boutique Hotel Itaewon.
