May 27, 2011 - National Safe Boating Week is an annually occurring observance, which takes place during the week before Memorial Day every year. This year it will take place during the week of May 21-27 and associations from all over are helping to promote safe boating practices.

In the spirit of National Safe Boating Week, Cypress Cay Pontoons is announcing the creation of a boating safety guide, not only for pontoon boats, but for boats of all kinds. The guide is expected to be online shortly in the coming months. Boating safety is the most important part of enjoying the waters and Cypress Cay wants to make sure you're prepared.

One of the biggest boating days of the year is Memorial Day weekend. The weather is warming up and many people are out spending time with their families during the three day weekend. The Cypress Cay Pontoons boating safety guide will not be ready before the end of National Safe Boating Week, but one great resources to visit before heading out for Memorial Day weekend is the National Safe Boating Council.

The boating safety guide is estimated for completion some time in mid to late June. Visit the Cypress Cay Pontoon website for more information at that time.
