DirectRooms.com – Israel's films get screened in Jerusalem during 7 to 16 July 2011

DirectRooms.com divulges that the latest creations from Israeli studios and directors are due to premier in Jerusalem as part of the city's leading film festival.

Jerusalem International Film Festival is dedicated to the work of local and international filmmakers with new films being screened throughout the event. Around 150 to 200 films will be presented consisting of premieres, shorts and documentaries and these will be divided into a number of categories with awards for the best in each class.

Film fans can see films in the Panorama section which consists of international features, The Jewish Experience relates to issues concerning Jewish history and identity, while the In the Spirit of Freedom category deals with human rights and thoughts around freedom.

Past editions of the show have seen the major stars from the industry attending including famous actors like Robert De Niro, Warren Beaty and Lillian Gish who was the leading lady in the era of silent films. The festival has also been the debut for aspiring directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Spike Lee who have gone on to become renowned all over the world.

The screenings will take place around the city from 7th until 16th July 2011 and looking at the success of previous years Jerusalem hotels are going to be oversubscribed with visitors turning up for the films.
