DirectRooms.com – Music enthusiasts head to Bordeaux for The Cap Ferret Music Summer Academy

DirectRooms.com has confirmed the Cap Ferret Music Summer Academy. The academy, along with the 'Festival du Cap Ferret' will open the summer season and run from Saturday 2nd to 9th July 2011.

Music enthusiasts and Cap Ferret lovers alike will have the chance to enjoy this opportunity while taking in the beautiful Cap Ferret landscape just outside the city of Bordeaux.

The summer academy and festival will feature musicians of international fame as both performers and lecturers through both master classes and workshops. This combination will allow younger talents to meet these masters and learn, whilst also sharing their own work. Highlights from the festival will also be offered through podcasts and webcasts.

Professional students or those preparing for national or international competitions are encouraged to attend master classes during the weeklong programme. The main focus is to hone musical skills, connect with major music academies from all over the world, and perform. Advanced amateurs are also invited to attend the master classes.

Students of all levels are invited to participate in the workshops, which will help improve skills in jazz, composition, improvisation, and general musical knowledge. Workshop students are allowed to attend master classes free of charge but only as spectators.

Because of the impressive group of performers and lecturers at this expo, it is expected that cheap Bordeaux Airport hotels will fill up quite rapidly. It is encouraged to book accommodation at the time of academy registration.

Registration fees start at €60 and master class fees range from €100 to €280.
