Public response to the Spitalfields Market preview taster last Friday of the upcoming Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pantomime was fascinated amusement – Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood, dressed in glamorous garb as the Wicked Queen, was accompanied by Former Shadow Home Secretary Ann Widdecombe in a dance duet.

The former politician was an audience favourite on last year's season of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. She and judge Revel Horwood became highly popular for their banter and received standing ovations when they danced together during the show's national tour.

Following this, it was Craig Revel Horwood's idea to recruit her for the 2011 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs production, which will be Ms Widdecombe's first pantomime performance ever. She will play his servant, or 'Widde in Waiting'.

As for Mr Revel Horwood, he is an experienced professional entertainer and this will be his third year working with Qdos Entertainment in the role of Wicked Queen.

The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs pantomime is scheduled to run at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford, from 9 to 31 December 2011. It has already sold more than 16,000 tickets.
