DirectRooms.com – Kilkenny Arts Festival to be held between 5 and 14 August 2011

DirectRooms.com announces that the Kilkenny Arts Festival will be celebrating its 38th edition this year and once again is set to bring the most outstanding acts in all areas of art.

The festival is a huge production with performances of different styles of music including rock, jazz, classical, traditional Irish or world music and the event pulls in many of the finest acts from each genre. And it's not only groups from Ireland that come to perform but also many international artists who make it all the way to Kilkenny to perform at the event.

Attendees can also see shows incorporating theatre, dance and literature recitals and on top of all this there'll be film screenings, art exhibitions and stalls selling handmade crafts.

Children will have plenty to do as special kid's activities are planned for every day and they'll also enjoy the 'Street' section which involves street stunts and acrobatic performances carried out in some amazing costumes.

All the events and performances will be held from 5th to 14th August 2011 at various locations so people will get to visit a range of places. Venues include Kilkenny Castle Park, Watergate Theatre, St Canice's Cathedral and the Kilkenny hotel the Newpark.
