Treefest comes to the Cotswolds next month, offering nature lovers the chance to indulge in their passion for the great outdoors.

This year's festival takes place from Friday August 26th to Monday August 29th and will bring together the best of Westonbirt Arboretum's Festival of the Tree and a selection of new and exciting activities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of live performances from local musicians, as well as medieval archery, storytelling sessions and falconry displays.

Alongside all the fun and frolics, there will be ample opportunity to take part in educational activities, such as woodcraft demonstrations and discovery trails.

There will also be a chance to attend the Sky Rainforest Rescue Pod, which provides detailed information about the flora and fauna of the Amazon.

Launched jointly by Sky One and the World Wildlife Fund, the pod features an interactive floor and a 3D cinema, which will educate visitors about the dangers of deforestation in the Amazon region.

Tickets are priced between £35 and £70, providing entry to the festival for all four days. Children are admitted free of charge.

Proceeds from the event will go to the festival's main beneficiary, the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum.

LateRooms.com offers a large number of Cotswold hotel options that could appeal to holidaymakers, including the Tortworth Court Four Pillars Hotel.
