Real ale drinkers have the perfect excuse to visit the Cotswolds in late August, as the perennially popular Frocester Beer Festival is set to return.
 
Taking place at Frocester Cricket Club, the event offers visitors to this picturesque Gloucestershire village near Stroud a chance to sample the finest beers from around the UK.
 
This year's festival is scheduled for Friday August 26th and Saturday August 27th, when over 150 cask-conditioned real ales from more than 50 different breweries will be on offer.
 
As well as the chance to sample a range of heady brews, there will be a programme of live music and plenty of hot food to enjoy.
 
For those who prefer other types of alcoholic beverage, the festival will also feature a selection of wine, cider and perry.
 
Now in its 32nd year, the event is organised by the Dursley Lions Club, an organisation that raises £40,000 each year for charities and other worthy causes.
 
Admission is by ticket only, with prices due to be confirmed as the festival approaches.
