***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***

“Worldwide Search for Independent Short Films Hots Up”

With the hope of winning a trip to Las Vegas independent short filmmakers are now submitting their creative achievements to the new online film and music portal Boost Digital.com

To celebrate its official launch soon Boost Digital.com has announced an exciting competition in which an expert panel will evaluate all the short films submitted and will choose the winners in a variety of categories.

The winners will be announced in February 2006. They’ll receive free screening of their films on Boost Digital plus consolation prizes and the major prize is a trip to Las Vegas to NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) - The World’s Largest Electronic Media Show - in April 2006 for the winning film maker.

This includes return airfare, one week’s accommodation and US$500 spending money.

All genres of film are welcome.

“Many short filmmakers have simply given up on getting exposure for their hard, dedicated work and simply left the movie in a top drawer somewhere and forgotten about it. It doesn’t need to have been all a waste of time and money. Pull it out and send it to us. We’ll give it worldwide exposure. Plus it may win the trip to Las Vegas.” Ian MacRae: Boost Digital Production Manager.

“For the winner this will be a great opportunity to use an electrifying location to produce another short film while they’re there. Las Vegas certainly will offer an inspiring backdrop for our lucky film maker.” Graeme Logan: Boost Digital CEO.

Filmmakers should simply print the submission form from the web site and forward it with their production, either on DVD or CD, where it will be uploaded to what will be a constantly evolving site.

The first submissions will be showing up on the site very soon.
