Spoof Nation Releases "The Fart," a Comedy Farting Competition which mimics NBC's "The Voice"

August 30, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
"The Fart" from Spoof Nation(www.spoofnation.com) is a competition like no other because "it puts passing wind first." It is hosted by Toot Higgins who is "live from Los Angeles" and sports horn-rimmed glasses and a bright red "The Fart" shirt.

The spoof features a cast of "Fartistes" whose mission is to help contestants perfect the Tone, Loudness, Clarity, Scent, Duration and Style of a fart. Seated in front of a giant microphone, an even larger butt, and what appears to be "fart-wind," the judges represent worldwide farting royalty.

The farting spoof features three competing contestants from different parts of the country all vying for the "Rambunctious Rectum Award" and a $25,000 cash prize. There's "tush-pushing" Wyn Dee from Houston, Texas. There is bleached blonde, bad-ass surfer dude Boom-Boom from Venice Beach, California and fist-pumping, Jersey Shore chick-magnet Ari from Asbury Park, New Jersey. Each performs a dramatic, powerful and thunderous fart to the delight of the three judges who critique them with fine wine terms like "fruity," "jammy" and "nutty."

As a Saturday Night Live-style parody, "The Fart" has it all. There is good writing, great acting, perfect timing, and a topic that makes just about everyone silly. The final Fart-Off between Boom-Boom and Ari is also filled with plenty of drama as it features roaring farts, hip music, a very close national vote and a winner who excitedly announces that he is "going to Disneyland." This spoof is not to be missed.

Hats off to Spoof Nation (www.spoofnation.com) for making a lot of noise in comedic circles and creating a welcome diversion during these very tough times as demonstrated by the wise words of one judge … "It's important to remember that a fart moves at over 60 mph!"

With the cheery mantra "America the Spoofable," Spoof Nation™ creates entertaining parodies that explore all that is unique about America … the personalities, the reality shows, the national obsessions, and the TV commercials. With their inaugural video under their belt, (the midlife crisis jeering "Old Girl Mole Cream,") Spoof Nation is off to the races with this new spoof and an ambitious slate of clever skits that are as witty as they are classics in the making.

Spoof Nation (www.spoofnation.com) was founded on the belief that parody is good for the soul. In keeping with that school of thought … they will next take aim at America's obsession with weight loss which spawned "The Biggest Loser," and reinterpret it into "The Biggest Boozer" which is about careless drinking at an undisclosed California ranch this Fall! Stay tuned!
