"A Lost Connection," a new book by Allan Neil, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

A young girl from a grim and abusive background in an Edinburgh slum meets a young boy from a secure working-class family and starts to find hope, especially when her abuser dies suddenly. However, the young couple is torn apart by events outside their control. This is the story of their attempts to find each other over many years.

About the Author:
Allan Neil was born in Penicuik in Midlothian in December 1938 around the same time as the main male character in the book. He moved to the South Coast to join the Police in 1966 but retains a strong nostalgia for his home town where several close relatives still live. A Lost Connection is his first full-length novel although he has completed his autobiography, has begun another novel and is writing a humorous whimsy about Penicuik life.

"A Lost Connection" is a 204-page paperback with a retail price of $22.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-1182-7. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
