The Great British Cheese Festival will offer visitors the chance to sample hundreds of cheeses and enjoy live entertainment against the spectacular backdrop of Cardiff Castle.
 
Taking place on Saturday September 24th and Sunday September 25th, the event is set to feature an abundance of tasting sessions, masterclasses and demonstrations from some of the UK's leading cheese-makers.
 
Visitors can also look forward to music from live bands and special events such as the World Cheese Tossing Championships, which the organisers have said is open to all applicants with enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
 
The focal point of the festival is Britain's Biggest Cheese Market, where producers from around the country will be displaying their wares.
 
Everything from Red Leicester and Cheddar to Caerphilly and Wensleydale will be available at the market, which is also set to showcase newer varieties such as goat Cheddar and buffalo milk cheeses.
 
Standard tickets are priced at £8.75 for adults and £7.50 for concessions. People who buy in advance will pay the same price but also receive a £3.50 voucher to spend on masterclasses at the festival.
 
The event will be open from 10:00 to 17:00 BST on both days.
