Visitors to Hong Kong will be able to attend a special charity sports event, Breakthrough Boxing, on October 8th 2011.

The black tie event will be hosted at the Hong Kong Football Club between 19:00 and midnight local time and will feature six exciting fights involving competitors from the Operation Breakthrough Boxing Club.

Operation Breakthrough was originally founded in 1996 by local police officers and is a charity dedicated to engaging disadvantaged youths and juvenile offenders in sports and other activities.

The boxing club has been credited with spurring a resurgence of interest in the sport in Hong Kong, with members developing their skills to highly competitive levels.

Proceeds from this competition, which is organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Tanner De Witt, will go back towards supporting the organisation.

Tickets for members of the general public will cost HK$1,000 (£81.20), while more expensive passes are also available to those wishing to secure ringside seats.

The price will be inclusive of all six of the evening's fights, in addition to a supply of drinks and a three-course meal.

Boxing enthusiasts can find a large selection of Hong Kong hotels at AsiaRooms.com, such as the Kings De Nathan.

Further information on this event can be located at www.britcham.com.
