Pro.file Performance System Delivers CCME Lecture on Applicant Screening With Personality Assessment Tests

September 27, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Edmonton, Alberta – Michael Moreau, Director of Client Development at Pro.file Performance System; a world class personality assessment test and recruitment assessment tool, recently spoke at the Canadian Conference on Medical Education in Toronto. In his presentation he spoke about the relationship between personality and performance, and its importance when assessing candidates in a business setting.

Moreau's lecture on the use of personality assessment tests to screen candidates was attended by roughly 35 representatives from various admission departments of Canadian medical schools who were interested in learning more about personality and performance in the workplace. Admission departments of a number of medical schools have been discussing the possible usefulness of applying a psychometric assessment to their current admissions process.

"The CCME was a very interesting group to speak to. Pro.file Performance System advocates that every job has a certain degree of characteristics required to consistently perform at an above average level in the role. There was good discussion around whether this applied to medical professionals and if using a personality assessment test during the admissions process would be useful. I am looking forward to seeing if/how Canadian medical schools will look to integrate the concept of personality testing into their admissions process." - Mike Moreau, Director of Client Development.

As a leading talent development agency, and developer of one of the foremost personality assessment tools in Canada, Profile Performance System is a strong advocate of using personality assessment tests in recruitment. Profile Performance System understands that the key to effective HR recruitment and future development involves an analysis of the behavioural characteristics, and competencies of potential employees.
