Katrina campus relief schedules initial efforts for displaced students with hollywood style makers, celebrities, and top designers


(PRLEAP.COM) Westwood, CA - The first Katrina Campus Relief displaced hurricane student outreach will take place Tuesday, November 1 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church located at 580 Hilgard, Westwood from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Forty-five to sixty-five displaced students, survivors of hurricane Katrina now attending UCLA, will receive 4-5 new designer outfits, shoes, jackets, Nike backpacks filled with school supplies, toiletries, haircuts, and make-up styling by Katrina Campus Relief volunteer celebrity stylists including Michael Holdaway, founder and chairman of Katrina Campus Relief. Celebrities include: Actresses, Natasha Henstridge (COMMANDER IN CHIEF), Natasha Williams, Kiera Chaplin, and Princess Ann Claire Van Shaick. Additional participants include: Designers Marco Marco, Meghan Fabulous, and Kings of Glory; Models, Gerren Taylor, Brighdie Grounds, and Model/Celebrity Stylist, Lesa Amoore, (also co-chair of Katrina Campus Relief); Celebrity Hairstylist, Charity Sampson, and Celebrity Make-up Artist Sharon Gault will all be on hand to donate their expertise. DJ Ravi will spin throughout the day.
“The importance of increasing these students’ self-esteem by giving them new clothes they actually want and are proud to wear can’t be measured,” says Michael Holdaway, founder and chairman of Katrina Campus Relief. “We, in the fashion industry, are applying our skills and talents in tangible ways we know will help these students regain their educational focus in a very positive way.”
