London, October 12, 2011 – Menzies Digital Marketing, a leading provider of multi-platform digital publishing solutions, has today announced its exclusive distribution rights to a new breed of 3G epaper technology. Through a partnership with Ripe Technology and Bridgestone, the world's largest tyre and rubber company, Menzies Digital Marketing will exclusively distribute the "E-Flyer" product to media publishers, brands and media agencies within the UK.
Utilising Bridgestone's QR-LPD epaper, the E-Flyer; developed by Ripe Technology, offers cutting edge ereader technology to businesses looking to implement digital displays with high colour range, high contrast quality and low reflection. The E-Flyer can be controlled online and updated remotely over 3G, and uses minimal power, offering an energy-efficient communication platform.

Businesses will be able to take advantage of the real-time E-Flyer to offer dynamic display technology - responding to changing market conditions and ensuring up-to-the minute headlines. And with an internal rechargeable battery, the E-Flyer can be used in place of costly and power-hungry TV-based displays, or as a cost-effective alternative to print displays.

Takahiro Matsuse, PhD, Fellow (Manager) of Bridgestone's Electronic Paper Marketing & Development Department - part of the company's Advanced Business Division in Japan said: "By combining our epaper postering platform with Ripe Technology's E-Flyer product and Menzies Digital Marketing expertise within the digital marketing industry, we feel we can offer a truly compelling form of digital communication for UK businesses. The UK is a new market for us, but one which we are very excited to be part of moving forward."

Sarah Clegg, MD Menzies Digital Marketing commented: "The E-Flyer will completely revolutionise how businesses manage and display marketing messages. We are thrilled to be working with such a forward thinking company as Bridgestone. With its roots in rubber and tyres and ours in logistics, to see such ground breaking things coming out of the company is very exciting and something which we would love to see transferred across all of our business. We are delighted to have been awarded sole distribution rights for the E-Flyer, and really hope that it will help to advance and drive the UK digital media industry – something that we endeavour to be at the forefront of moving forward."
