Indian Author Publishes New Book

Reminiscences of a Surgeon, a new book by Dr. Shiban K. Kachru, has been released by RoseDog Books.

The author gives his personal experience as a general surgeon in India, Africa, Germany and the Middle East for over three decades, recollecting the tragedies and triumphs of surgical practice. A brief history of surgery is given at the end as an appendix.

About the Author

Dr. Shiban K. Kachru is an Indian born in Kashmir. After getting his basic medical degree from Calcutta University, he did his post-graduation in general surgery in India and Germany.

He worked as a general surgeon in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. For the last eight years, he has been practicing in Hyderabad, India. He is married to a doctor of medicine and has two sons, both residing in the U.S.A.
