GLOBUS INCREASES CHANCES TO TOUR EUROPE IN 2012

October 20, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Modern touring offers travelers the chance to enjoy every moment of their vacation. Without the hassles of transportation and navigating each destination, not to mention, waiting in countless lines, tour travelers have more time to actually enjoy their getaway. And, it's this fact that has helped touring Europe make a resurgence for today's travelers. Time is money, and now touring is becoming the ultimate vacation-saver and savior.

Sales for the Globus' European tours have risen an average of 48 percent over the past three years. And today, the company is unveiling its largest selection of tours to date, including seven (7) new vacations to England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Jordan. In addition, Greece and Turkey are emerging Globus tour destinations, with three (3) new escapes announced for 2012.

"Some of the most exciting changes taking place in the travel industry are happening in touring." said Scott Nisbet, president and CEO for the Globus family of brands. "Thirty percent of our travelers last year were new to touring. They're looking for stress-free travel, at a variety of price points, as well as interesting and enjoyable experiences."

With approximately 100 itineraries from which to choose the perfect European getaway, Globus tours feature a wide range of insightful and authentic experiences, including taking an excursion to Louis XIV's opulent 17th-century Palace of Versailles with its magnificent state apartments, Hall of Mirrors and 250-acre gardens; savoring a traditional Dutch dinner at a local restaurant in the quaint fishing village of Volendam and stepping into the pages of a fairytale at King Ludwig's Linderhof Castle while strolling through its famous Italian-style terraced gardens in Munich.

"The enrichment and enjoyment Globus affords travelers is one of our most valuable and powerful assets," said Nisbet. "Time and cost-savings are also valuable benefits of Globus tours."

On vacation, a minute saved is a minute earned and Globus has spent more than eight decades (84 years) creating and finely tuning its tours to strike the perfect balance between included, planned activities and the freedom travelers crave to explore on their own, with prices starting as low as $1,079 (7-day, Introduction to Ireland)

According to Nisbet, having the power to customize their journey is another reason people choose to tour with Globus. New for 2012, the company is introducing travelers to MyGlobus, a program designed to give them the chance to personalize their vacation, by adding optional excursions and activities to their tour pre-trip (starting in January 2012).

"On vacation, travelers deserve to enjoy their journey," said Nisbet. "Touring with us gives them the luxury to live in the moment – a novel idea."
