Anthony Tedesco released his debut album on Tuesday, the appropriately titled "Exordium." A single on the album, "Long Until Gone," honors members of the military services and the sacrifices they endure. The video for that song was also released on Tuesday.

"The purpose of the video was to display sentiments of the hardships some of the troops go through and to raise awareness of the sacrifices our troops make," Tedesco said.

The moving video features a soldier badly wounded in battle with a home nurse tending to him, a mother and daughter waiting for their husband/father to come home and the soldier making the emotional trip home. There are several touching, emotional moments in the video.

A portion of the proceeds attained by the album will go to the charity Treat Any Soldier. The organization was created by Sue Horn, whose husband and son served in the military. Funds raised by Treat Any Soldier are used to send care packages to troops.

"My son would tell me it was like Christmas when he received a package from home," Horn told treatanysolder.com. "I only hope I can play a part in brightening a soldier's day when a package arrives."

Treat Any Soldier has received news coverage from CNN, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Ireland's RTE and Poland's TVP1.

Tedesco has had family members who have served in the military. His grandfather served for the Air Force during World War II, while his uncle served in the Vietnam War. Both relatives recently passed away. Tedesco's uncle is believed to have succumbed to long-term effects of Agent Orange, utilized during the Vietnam conflict.

"Through this video I hope to help support those who keep our country safe so that we have a place to live, thrive and do what we love," Tedesco said.

The singer also organized and performed at a benefit concert in 2009 that raised money to aid victims of the L'Aquila earthquake that was felt throughout much of Italy and killed 308 people, the deadliest earthquake in the country since 1980.

Tedesco was born and raised in New York. He has been playing music since the age of 8, beginning as a guitarist before embracing an additional role as a singer. He also has skills in playing the piano, upright and electric bass, and drums.

The other songs on the album are "Load," "In My Way," "Emergency," "Path," "Soulless Pariah," Because of You," "Looking Forward and Back," Off the Ground" and "Hollywood."

The video was also released on YouTube on Tuesday. Early reviews by viewers were overwhelmingly positive. Comments included, "This is the best video ever, awesome.. gives me goosebumps" and "wow beautiful :")".

The opening lyrics of "Long Until Gone" are, "Take these hands. Wash them in cool, cool water. Take these hands, and keep them warm." At this time, the video depicts the home nurse taking care of the soldier's wounded hands.

All songs from the album may be purchased at iTunes. The 10 songs cost $0.99 apiece, and the album as a whole is $9.90. Songs may be previewed prior to purchase. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/exordium/id469083456
