The Life and Times of Little Don Key, a new book by Bill McCoy, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

This book covers points of history and wildlife in western Arizona. Oatman, Arizona, a small mining town, had a population of 10,000 in 1916. When the U. S. entered WWI, most miners left to join the service. Many had burros to help with the mining. When the miners left, they turned their animals loose to roam the desert and forage for themselves. Te book incorporates several species of wildlife in the area.

About the Author

Bill McCoy, originally from El Paso, Texas, has lived in western Arizona for 49 years and enjoys the history and wildlife of Mohave County. His job with El Paso Natural Gas gave him the opportunity to travel the back roads and see most of the wildlife. Bill and his wife Jane have been married for 53 years and have 3 children, 7 grand children and 6 great grand children. They now reside in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Illustrations

Steve McCoy is a native Arizonan. He received his degree in Art from Arizona State University in 1976. This will be his first book to Illustrate, but he has been a freelance artist for over 34 years.
