Principal Leadership Behavior and Faculty Trust: Is There a Connection?, a new book by Dr. Frank DePasquale, has been released by RoseDog Books.

The timing of this book could not have been better. Educators are working in a pressure cooker because of many factors beyond their control. Significant budget cuts, demographic changes, and unrealistic political pressures have created an environment that makes it difficult to foster a high level of trust between faculty and administration. This book explores the basic concepts of trust and offers practical advice on how to foster a trusting environment on any school campus. There is no better investment in the future than investment in our schools. In the immortal words of the Garrison Keillor, "Nothing you do for children is ever wasted."

About the Author

Dr. Frank DePasquale is a retired educator who worked in our public schools for over thirty years. He was a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent, spending twenty-five of those years at the Moorpark Unified School District in Moorpark, California. He obtained his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1996.

He has always based his leadership behavior on a quote by Warren Bennis: "The leader does the right thing, while the manager does things right." He believes leadership implies a higher moral calling, one that is always based on doing what is "right" for students, not what is expedient or politically correct.

Principal Leadership Behavior and Faculty Trust: Is There a Connection? is a 136-page paperback with a retail price of $15.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-8683-2. It was published by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
