Vanishing Roar of Bengal Tigers, a new book by Dr. Devidas K. Belsare, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Rapid depletion of the population of the Bengal Tiger concerns everyone in India and abroad. This book describes the history of the tiger species, conservation measures, ecosystem of Tiger Reserves, and biology of the tiger, causes of depletion of tiger population, management methods and latest technologies of tiger census. About the Author

Dr. D.K.Belsare is a member of various organizations, including: the Technical Committee of Wildlife Research, Apipol Company Poland, the Technical Committee of Fish Culture Center of CIFE, etc. He is the former Professor of Bioscience, Barkatullah University Bhopal. Belsare was post-doctoral fellow in Baylor College of Medicine Houston, a UNEP Fellow, National Academy Science Fellow, Zoological Society Fellow, and also taught post-graduate classes for 30 years. He has published more than 160 papers in scientific journals and has written books on Tropical Fish farming, Biodiversity and contributed chapters in many books.

He traveled in European Countries, Malaysia and U.S.A. and attended more than 150 symposia, conferences and seminars at National and International levels.

For his distinguished scientific contributions, Belsare was awarded a University Gold Medal, Zoological Society Gold Medal, 20th Century Gold Medal, Zoological Conference Gold Medal and Best Senior Indian Scientist Gold Medal. His lifetime research is mainly focused on wildlife, hormones, aquaculture, water management, and biodiversity conservation. For his fundamental work on wildlife and inland fisheries, he was awarded the National Fellowship by the National Acadeny of Sciences, India in 1980.
