November 30, 2011 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Taylor Gray of Nickelodeon's Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures and Carlos Knight of Supah Ninjas will be at The Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, California on December 10th from Noon to 4PM on behalf Recycle. Reuse. Rejoice. a "Green" holiday event and donation drive (www.recyclereuserejoice.com). This new enviro-fundraising party will feature Six Celebrities and their respective Charities. The event is OPEN to the PUBLIC and admission is FREE … organizers just ask that attendees bring an electronic item to RECYCLE!

Taylor Gray will be representing "Nothing But Nets," at the Recycle. Reuse. Rejoice event. "Nothing But Nets" is a grass roots movement to raise awareness and funding to fight malaria, the leading cause of death among children in Africa. The campaign uses every dollar raised to cover the cost of purchasing long-lasting, insecticide-treated bed nets which are distributed to communities in need.

Carlos Knight is supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, a non-profit organization that promotes the health, education, social, vocational and character development of boys and girls ages 6 through 18. The club offers services that teach skills for future success while also providing a safe place for Boys & Girls to come year-round. Members can partake in athletic programs and events, reading clubs, music groups, field trips, arts and crafts, and enjoy both a teen and technology center.

"We're really thrilled to have Taylor and Carlos take part in our Holiday event. They represent the younger generation that will inherit much of our mounting E-Waste problem," says Trish Mahon of Planet Green. "Our young people will be the most impacted by the current 'throw-away' mentality, and we are hoping that they can help us change behavior and educate their fan base on the importance of recycling electronics so we can help preserve the future of the planet."

Planet Green Recycle (www.planetgreenrecycle.com)is urging everyone to join them for Recycle. Reuse. Rejoice to raise money for all six non-profit groups. They are hoping their new "Eco-Giving" concept will raise environmental consciousness as well as critical dollars for these cash-strapped charities during these tough economic times.
