Valued Employee Retires From Drayden Insurance after 32 Years with Edmonton Insurance Broker

Edmonton, Alberta – Edmonton Insurance Broker, Drayden Insurance Ltd., is announcing the retirement of Murray Miller from Drayden Insurance. Murray Miller was with the local Edmonton Insurance broker for 32 years; his insurance career began with Drayden in 1979.

When Murray Miller accepted the West Little Canadian Baseball League Championship trophy from Drayden's founder Armand Nielsen all those years ago, who knew that he would then work at Drayden Insurance for over 30 years. Murray Miller's career at Drayden Insurance started in December of 1979 and in December 2011 he said farewell to his Drayden Family.

Some of Murray's highlights over the years include:

December 1979: Murray began his insurance career with Drayden Insurance

February 1985: received his AIIC (Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada) designation

June 1985: became Branch Manager at Drayden Insurance's Stony Plain branch

1988: appointed as Vice President of Marketing

1989: became a Drayden Insurance Ltd. Shareholder

October 1994: received his CIB (Chartered Insurance Broker) Designation, one of only 2 brokers to achieve this at the time – This is also the highest professional designation of the Insurance Broker Association of Canada.

2005: Stepped down from being branch manager to focus his attention on other areas of the company.

2010: his son Mark Miller joined the Drayden family.</li>

December 2011: Murray's 32nd year of employment with Drayden Insurance, coinciding with his retirement.
