"Captures and Releases" Photography Exhibit by John Treichler

Lambertville photographer John Treichler will be displaying an exhibit of recent work at the new Community Art Gallery at The Bank of Princeton in Lambertville, NJ beginning on January 17 and running through February 15, 2012. An opening reception will be held on January 20 from 3:00 to 6:00, and a "Meet the Artist" event will be held on February 11 from 11:00 to 1:00. The exhibit and receptions are free and open to the public.

A long-time New Jersey resident, many of his works focus on local scenes and locations, in both color and black and white. "This exhibit is a chance to show some new and recent works that focus on New Jersey scenes, some that are familiar, and some that are unusual. It's a celebration of the region, and the diversity that can be found here." The works range from traditional realistic images to more abstract works. More than 15 works are on display along with his recently published book "Lambertville, Photo Essay of a New Jersey River Town."

Treichler is an award-winning photographer whose work has been selected for dozens of juried photography and art exhibits in the Mid-Atlantic region. He recently served as judge for the Photographic Society of Philadelphia Member exhibition. He is a member of the Artists' Gallery in Lambertville, NJ where his work is on display throughout the year. The Bank of Princeton is a community bank founded in 2007 with seven branches in New Jersey. The Lambertville branch is located on 10 Bridge Street and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 5:00, Friday from 8:30 to 6:00, and Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00.
