New Lives For Old, a new book by Fenton & Evelyn Babcock, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Fenton & Evelyn Babcock, the two authors of this book, drew upon their respective strong roots in New England, on the West Coast, and in Virginia, and as a result of personal experiences, the couple was able to describe in detail careers in the fields of education and national intelligence.

In each case, family responsibilities caused them to focus their planning upon the opportunity to develop a new life for themselves in a life care community. As neighbors at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury, Fenton & Evelyn developed a relationship that helped them through the loss of their respective spouses. That relationship blossomed further through closely working together in music and other activities in the community. Marriage soon followed, and warmth fostered a whole new dimension in their lives. The two have strengthened that relationship over the past four years through the publishing of two books, and overcoming physical setbacks.

About the Authors

Evelyn Wilson Babcock has taught various education levels, from first grade through college level, and in a country school in the desert as well as college courses in the city. Her responsibilities have included the classroom, a school, a cluster of schools, and special planning for a large school system.

Evelyn's travels included the British Isles and Ireland, Southern Europe, the Mediterranean area including Lebanon and Egypt, and many states in the U.S.

Fenton Babcock was brought up in California during the Great Depression and served three years in the Navy's Amphibious Forces.

Three degrees at Yale University placed him in line for a career with the CIA. His tours in East Asian countries and work in three of the CIA's four directorates led to his serving in the Intelligence Community Staff. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Intelligence Officers in November 2006.
