(Chicago) January 29, 2012 – The week leading up to Valentine's Day is National Marriage Week USA (www.NationalMarriageWeekUSA.org). This annual event promotes the benefits of marriage and offers couples the help they need to strengthen their own marriage, or to reach out and help others.

This year, National Marriage Week is just the beginning in Chicagoland. Thousands of area couples will be taking the Date Night Challenge (www.DateNightChallenge.com/Chicago) throughout the month of February, 2012.

Date Night Challenge is a not-for-profit venture designed to strengthen relationships. Businesses and organizations participate by providing meaningful Date Nights for their members or fans in a simple and powerful way with a goal of catalyzing 5 million date experiences in the next two years. The Date Night Challenge team serves as a concierge service to those organizations through live personal support and online wizards.

At the creative core of the Date Night Challenge is a mobile App for Android and iPhone users (Date Night Challenge Chicago) and a website (www.DateNightChallenge.com/Chicago) The App and website are designed to stimulate conversations for the dates, give a list of ideas and date night deals for fun dates, offer ideas and quizzes couples can use to enrich their relationship, and to help couples pass this dynamic resource on to others they love and care about.

The program is targeted at couples that want to have fun with their favorite person and are looking for great new places and experiences to share together. Businesses including restaurants, bowling alleys, ice cream parlors, museums, community organizations, libraries, and more partner with the Date Night Challenge network to provide a great date night experience for couples coming to them.

Featured Date Night locations include:

  • Malnati's Pizzeria (all Chicagoland locations)
  • Maggiano's Little Italy (all Chicagoland locations)
  • Mia Francesca's (all Chicagoland locations)

  • Along with the date night locations, hundreds of local congregations and community organizations will offer a full menu of workshops, seminars, conferences, counseling services and follow up events to help couples develop healthy, long lasting relationships.
