About the Author

Denise Marie Allegretti, mother of seven children and grandmother of six, lives in Bolingbrook, IL. She is devoted to helping adults and children cope with the difficulties of growing up in an age of violence. Allegretti's experiences with her own children and grandchildren led her to write about youth issues.
