"The Painted Lady", a new book by Patricia Bowman Gainous, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

"The Painted Lady" by Patricia Bowman Gainous is a delightful mix of suspense, love, charity, and humor. It chronicles events in the life of a young woman named Patti, as she escapes from a life of abuse and takes to the road in an attempt to disappear, fearing her abuser will come after her.

She is introduced to the world of RVing and purchases a used motor home called The Painted Lady, which becomes the center of her life. It carries Patti and her dog, Max, from California to Louisiana, meeting folks along the way who become the family she always wanted, but never had. The author draws from some of her own experiences in the RV lifestyle to provide fascinating details.
