Majority of Brits Are Bold When Dating

It has long been a tradition of who should ask who out when dating but it seems that most people are willing to take the initial step when it comes down to asking a person out on a date.

According to a recent survey, the majority of Brits would ask someone out on a date if they liked them. Findings by Real Time Market Research Company Usurv reveal that 52% would show bravery in dating and be outright when declaring that they fancy the other person.

However, 22% of those surveyed could be missing out on meeting their soul mate because they admitted that they would leave it to the other person to make the first move. 18% would do nothing and hope that they notice you and 4% would ask a friend to subtly mention it. A further 26% would hint a little but always leave room to deny it.

The study found that men are bolder when it comes to making the first move as opposed to females. A massive 64% of men would just ask someone out on a date if they were attracted to them whereas only 40% of females would do the same.

And it appears that with age comes confidence as 61% of 40-49 year-olds would ask a prospective date on a date in contrast to only 43% of 18-29 year-olds.
