Embassy Suites Chicago - North Shore/Deerfield Hotel Opens Chicago Area Restaurant, Cadwell's Grille

Deerfield, IL – April 5, 2012 - The Embassy Suites Chicago North Shore Deerfield announces the opening of Cadwell's Grille, named after one of the founding families of Deerfield, Illinois. Cadwell's Grille offers locally inspired contemporary American cuisine. The Chicago area restaurant, nestled within the seven-story atrium of the hotel, celebrates north shore history with a modern flare.

"We wanted to create a connection within the community while celebrating the flavors and foods of Chicago," said Jeff Brainard, Regional Manager with Destination Hotels & Resorts. "Cadwell's offers a unique dining experience for both hotel guests and local residents."

Cadwell's menu offers dishes ranging from "Chi-town ribs" to flat bread pizzas and grilled calamari with champagne oregano white truffle vinaigrette. The new restaurant menu also offers a soup and salad bar Monday through Friday during lunch hours featuring a variety of fresh local greens and vegetables and heart healthy toppings such as red and yellow beets and artichoke hearts. Dining guests can create their own pasta dish and choose from three varieties of pasta, homemade sauces and fresh ingredients. "I fell in love with cooking when I was seven years old watching my mother and grandmother in the kitchen," said Executive Chef John Grosskopf. "I am excited to have the opportunity to truly create the Cadwell's experience and grow it into a local treasure." Chef Grosskopf is a native of Chicago, Illinois.

The Embassy Suites Chicago North Shore Deerfield is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts. Both the hotel and Cadwell's Grille will undergo a $7M renovation beginning November 2012 and will include a full transformation of the atrium and restaurant.
