April 10, 2012 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, April 10, 2012 - SolveIT Software Pty Ltd, a leading provider of enterprise software for supply & demand optimisation and predictive modelling, showcased its enterprise applications for integrated planning, scheduling, and optimisation to over 330 delegates at the Manufacturing Supply Chain Officer's Conference in Shanghai, China, on 22-23 March 2012.

The conference included speakers from Dell, Microsoft, Sony, Intel, DHL, ITT, HP, Seagate, SKF, Tesla Motors, Siemens, Aerolia, and Volvo. John Gattorna, keynote speaker at SolveIT Software's recent Integrated Planning and Optimisation Summit (IPOS'12), was the keynote speaker at the Summit, and highlighted the need for better technology to connect all parts of the Manufacturing Value Chain.

Lee Hochberg, Domain Expert for Supply and Demand Optimisation, made a presentation on the topic of Supply Chain Collaboration: Optimising for Peak Performance, on the first day of the conference. Over half the delegates at the conference were Chinese nationals seeking to learn the latest advances in supply chain management and technology.

"I was impressed by the sophistication and knowledge of the Chinese delegates," remarked Lee of his experience. "Chinese manufacturers are no longer focused on being the low cost provider, but rather the most effective supply chain partner. The questions they asked were impressive and insightful, and revealed a hunger to learn and improve their operations. We are looking forward to establishing a base in China as part of our global expansion and outreach into global manufacturing and supply chain management."
