Peaks Foundation organizes Women's Leadership and Adventure Summit in Chamonix, France this June

Peaks Foundation offers treks worldwide that blend challenge, adventure and activism. Our trips target women and girls who seek adventure, a sense of personal achievement, and an opportunity to make a positive difference in the world.


Women from around the globe will unite this June

This June, the Peaks Foundation will kick off the first ever Women's Leadership and Adventure Summit beneath Western Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc. The Summit, which will last from Friday the 22nd until Sunday the 24th, will bring together women from around the world and use the weekend to inspire and empower them to reach their highest potential.

This intimate three-day summit will provide opportunities for attendees to interact with outstanding speakers, corporate professionals and world-class athletes. Attendees will push themselves to their highest potential through alpine adventures including ice and rock climbing, glacier walking, and trekking with professional guides in a comfortable environment.

Intimate evening events, interactive panel discussions, intense conversation breaks and team-focused alpine adventures. The weekend will be monumental in helping women to break down barriers, connect and work together.



Michelle Theall to speak at Summit

Michelle Theall will open the Summit with a motivational talk about her experiences living with MS, taking risks and founding Women's Adventure Magazine while balancing work, life and play. Michelle started her career in publishing seventeen years ago and has since won numerous awards for her work in editing and writing. She has appeared on NBC Today, MSNBC, The Travel Channel, and the Fox Sports Network. Her editorial columns, articles and essays have appeared in numerous publications. She owns and runs Creative Conferences, allowing writers and photographers to learn from Pulitzer-nominated industry professionals. Apart from this, she is an avid snowboarder, rock climber and hiker.



Patagonia Alpine Climbing Ambassador Zoe Hart organizing adventure sessions

Zoe Hart is the fourth American woman to earn her IFMGA, or International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations, status. This is the highest level of credential available to a professional mountain guides anywhere in the world and is recognized in over 20 IFMGA member countries. When not playing in her back yard in the French Alps, Zoe can be found bouncing around the far corners of the world on exploratory expeditions, finding the call to travel and exploring the mountains of the world too alluring to stand still.

Liv Sansoz, Mountain Hardwear sponsored athlete, will mentor the outdoor rock climbing session on the morning of Sunday the 24th. This session will take place at The Gailland Rocks out side Chamonix, and provide all participants an opportunity to try rock climbing in a safe environment with mentors like Liv standing by. Liv is well known in the climbing community with two world championships and three overall World Cup wins under her belt.



The History of Peaks

Chloe Chick and Laura Hartstone have been running treks since 2007 and officially founded the Peaks Foundation (www.peaksfoundation.org) in December 2010. Both women will be present at the Summit in Chamonix.

The Peaks Foundation is a US 501c3 not-for-profit organization based out of the United States and additionally set up as a UK Charity. To date, the climbs have helped to generate over $875,000 USD to support girls and women across the world.

Peaks Foundation treks are a catalyst for fostering confidence, leadership and teamwork amongst our teams while also generating critical funds to support disadvantaged girls and women in the regions we offer trips.
