Ward + Blake Jackson Hole Architecture Firm Receives Custom Home and International Design Awards

Jackson, Wyoming-May 1, 2012 Ward + Blake Architects, a Jackson Hole residential and commercial architecture firm, received First Prize in the Architecture Categories Competition of the International Design Awards for "Catskills Retreat," an unbuilt design for a luxury New York state resort that incorporates sod roofs and other sustainable features. The Jackson, Wyo. architecture firm also received third prize in the awards in the Architecture Categories Competition for its in-progress "Sharp Residence" as well as an Honorable Mention in Conceptual for "Catskills Retreat."

The International Design Awards have a stated purpose to celebrate the world's most visionary designers, discover new and emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of design worldwide. The competition received entries from 65 countries. Winners' projects are published in the International Design Awards Book of Designs to be distributed nationwide.

In addition to the international awards, Ward + Blake Architects received a Merit Award in the Detail Category from the 2012 Custom Home Design Awards for its "Wilson Doors," massive custom entry doors created for a Wyoming residence. More than 400 entries were received by the Custom Home judges who chose 29 winners.
