Lovon Bond's innovative video of the songs "If" and "Accelerate" garnered 8,500 views during its debut week.

Part of the black-and-white "Candlelight Series", the "If/Accelerate" video follows Lovon's practice of combining new songs with classics. The video starts with a guitar/vocal version of the David Gates and Bread song, "If" and segues into a Latin-tinged heartbreaker entitled, "Accelerate."

Both songs feature Lovon's unusual falsetto technique, which has raised eyebrows among fans of urban music but has gained supporters among those who appreciate the uniqueness of his approach. The Lovon difference revolves around his ability to produce rich, deep tones in a falsetto voice, resulting in a less thin, rounder sound than most listeners have encountered in this type of singing.

In addition, Lovon chooses to sing songs from a wide variety of genres, embracing not only soul and R&B, but also pop, standards, jazz and Latin music.
"I want to be a universal singer," says Lovon. "I don't want to be locked into one narrow category, because I know that people want to hear something fresh, no matter what their favorite genre."

Lovon's videos are shot in subdued light with live instruments. "We wanted to capture the immediacy of a great singer showing that he can deliver without edits and do-overs," says co-producer Liz Herrera. "Often when people hear a recording of Lovon, they don't believe he can sustain those tones throughout a performance. This video series serves notice that Lovon Bond is a master of his craft."

YouTube viewers have responded to the video in large numbers, due partly to the efforts of Lovon's producers and managers at The Plan A Project, who have dropped all other projects to get the word out about Lovon.

"We feel we owe it to his talent, heart and genuine greatness," says Ms. Herrera. "We are on a mission to let the world know about the touching experience of hearing Lovon sing."
