Halo, a new book by Lillie V. Granados, has been released by RoseDog Books.

What would you do if your only friend told you that you had special abilities?

Xochilt Via's best friend just revealed that he was her Halo, her guardian, and that she was something called a Light and had special gifts. That's when she kicked him out of her house and told him to get off whatever drugs he was on.

But after a certain kitchen-related explosion occurred when a strange light shot out from her hands, Xochilt began to consider the impossible.

There were still questions she needed to have answered, though. What did it mean to be a Light? Were there others? Unfortunately for Xochilt, there isn't much time for her to come to terms with her new life. Something is killing Lights and taking their power, and Xochilt is the next target.

Xochilt must learn to control her gift and prevent any more of her friends from disappearing. But not all is as dark as it seems. She will make new friends with extraordinary powers and come to realize that love isn't far from reach…it's much closer than it seems, and it has been all along.
