Hertfordshire, UK, June 6, 2011 – SkyVision Global Networks Ltd., a leading global provider of IP connectivity over satellite and fiber optic systems, announced today that Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, has chosen SkyVision Optimize as a VSAT solution for its global network.

SkyVision Optimize offers dedicated capacity from SkyVision VSAT hubs together with increased flexibility and control over customers' own networks. With SkyVision Optimize, CRS can now dynamically manage the bandwidth of its network spanning over 20 global sites from one head office.
Running on a single, unified platform with coverage spanning between 3 continents, SkyVision's value-added solution also includes a managed firewall and dynamic content filtering management throughout the network, that supports CRS' tight requirements.

Commenting on the announcement, Doron Ben Sira, CEO of SkyVision, said: "We are delighted to have had the opportunity to design this solution for CRS' global network. This project proved our ability to meet the needs of a large cross-regional network, and highlighted the versatility of SkyVision Optimize. Despite the complexity of this project, we were able to provide a cost efficient, easy-to-use solution that ensures a high quality of service and meet CRS' demands to the bit."

"We required a first-class, reliable vendor that could seamlessly build on our existing system, while having the ability to expand it, on demand," commented Carol Bothwel, Chief Knowledge Officer of CRS. "SkyVision acted quickly and responded to all of our demands. With the flexible management of the firewall and content filtering solution we are now able to offer a greater user experience in addition to superior reliability, ensuring only the content relevant to our users is delivered. We can now respond to changing requirements per site, such as in emergency situations or temporary increased demand for capacity in real-time. This is a huge leap forward for CRS and one that the communities we serve will definitely benefit from."
