The 2012 edition of the Brighton Japan Festival is due to begin on Friday June 22nd, bringing a host of special events to the city for an exciting ten-day period.

Other highlights of the festival include Japanese whisky tasting sessions, a celebration of retro videogames at the popular Marwood's Cafe and a special screening of classic Japanese horror film The Ring.
 
In addition, the Asahi Anime Festival is due to take place on Saturday June 30th and Sunday July 1st.
 
This event, which is the only open-air anime festival in the UK, will feature manga drawing, fashion shows and karaoke competitions.
