June 27, 2012 - Launched on 19th June 2012, the new site provides an exciting and refreshing new interface between Canterbury and its clients and will make purchasing Canterbury sports gear online so much easier.

Canterbury of New Zealand was established in New Zealand in 1904, adopting the name of the province that was its home. Dedicated to the manufacture and supply of rugby jerseys, it has grown into the world's biggest rugby brand. Canterbury's familiar CCC (Canterbury Clothing Company) logo was cleverly created by imposing the silhouettes of three kiwis, New Zealand's national bird, on three solid circular backgrounds and is now a familiar sight on rugby grounds around the world. With its global headquarters now in the UK, Canterbury has expanded its operations to Australia, Europe and the United States. There are also licensed operations in South Africa and Japan.

As Canterbury has grown, so has its range of products. No longer limited to on-field rugby apparel, it now manufactures a wider range of sportswear and sports related products including training gear, protective clothing, sports bags and all manner of accessories for supporters. Canterbury of New Zealand has, in fact, become a market leader in sports apparel.

True to its rugby roots, Canterbury sponsors a number of national rugby sides, including South Africa and Scotland, and many clubs around the world. It also sponsored the All Blacks and the New Zealand Super XV franchises until 1999. But Canterbury now also sponsors rugby league sides and the New Zealand national cricket side and provincial cricket sides. More recently, it has been announced that Canterbury will produce the new England Rugby Shirts.

Canterbury of New Zealand's new website is intended to bring the world of Canterbury into the home of all sports fans. You will be able to view and purchase any of Canterbury's wide range of products, have access to all Canterbury's latest developments and follow the blog for fascinating facts and insights into rugby. To enjoy this exciting new world just visit http://www.canterbury.com - it's just the click of a button away.
