NICHOLAS IANDOLO'S 'NLV' (A.K.A. 'NEW LAS VEGAS') SCI-FI EBOOK GOES NEW-OLD-SCHOOL

July 26, 2012 - Boston, MA - Author Nicholas Iandolo has taken a foray into a whole new writing platform with his first released science fiction action/adventure titled, 'NLV' (available in eBook format only). Short for 'New Las Vegas', 'NLV' is a sweeping epic about a world both strangely similar and remarkably different from our own. Set in the year 2054 in the largest most powerful city on Earth (population: 163M!), 'NLV' is a wild and dark rollercoaster ride into humankind's future. The stories held within its chapters and volumes revolve around people ordinary and extraordinary. People who struggle to survive, keep their sanity, and maintain their last shreds of humanity in an ever-changing world ruled by endless entertainment, mountains of money, ruthless power, and rampant technology.

Known for his hubristic book on screenwriting, 'Cut The Crap and WRITE THAT DAMN SCREENPLAY!', with several follow-up works planned including, 'Cut The Crap and PITCH THAT DAMN SCREENPLAY!', to be released later this fall, Iandolo gets back to his science fiction writing passion. After spending the last few years trying to break into Hollywood's exclusive club of screenwriters, Iandolo is taking a new tack and striking out on his own-producing his own work and letting the public decide if it is good or not. And so far the reviews have been very positive, including being invited to the sold-out 2012 San Diego Comic-Con as an authorized Creative Professional!

The interesting thing about this work of speculative fiction is not only the thrilling multi-layered story but also the way in which Iandolo is writing, producing, and distributing it. He is going old-school with it releasing only a chapter at a time (as he writes them). Like the great science fiction writers of the past such as Asimov and Burroughs, who used to publish their work in serialized editions via anthologies such as Astounding and Starlog, Iandolo is tapping into the modern day equivalent via the digital eBook reading platforms (e.g. Kindle, iPad/iPhone, NOOK, Android, Sony eReader, etcetera).

"I am very excited about this project as I write and release each new chapter," Iandolo says. " Though I know how the whole story will play out; a good deal of the twists, turns, and intrigues have yet to be discovered. And I'm so looking forward to that; I really hope my readers will be as well!"

The first chapter of 'NLV' is titled 'The House Always Wins', and it is broken into two parts. It is an action-packed story about Nick Bello, an NLV PD cop with a past who must face his future while the lives of over a million people hang in the balance-including his half-sister, Pam. Future chapters will focus on other recurring characters as their paths intersect, diverge, and intersect again-all leading to a grand climax.

'Part One' of 'The House Always Wins' is being offered for FREE for a limited time to whet the audience's appetite for this story, and 'Part Two' only costs 99 cents per download. And at over 32,000 words (or approximately 100 printed pages), Iandolo believes that is a great entertainment value for the reading public's money.

Furthermore, Iandolo and his business partner, Chief Visionary/Producer PK Fogarty, are looking for graphic novelists, publishers, and production companies for both a graphic novel adaption, and to pitch a live action film/TV production of 'NLV'. They are calling it 'The NLV Project' and you can learn more about it at www.NLVProject.com/The-NLV-Project.html.

Daniel G. Thron, noted filmmaker of the award-winning viral hit zombie-procedural short film, 'Spoiler', recently said of Iandolo's 'NLV', "This book melts your brain and rocks your body. It's how sci-fi is supposed to be. I can't wait to see this turned into an epic TV series or a feature film. Once 'NLV' gets a hold of you, you'll never be free!"

'NLV' is available now for immediate download via Amazon.com, Apple's iTunes/iBookstore, the Barnes & Noble NOOK Bookstore; and for other eBook readers via Lulu.com. Visit: www.NLVProject.com for more information on all things 'NLV'.
