The Michigan State University Weekend MBA Alumni Association recently awarded a $5,000 academic scholarship to recipient Jeff Audrestch during the Weekend MBA Class of 2014 Orientation.

Each year, the Weekend MBA Alumni Association offers scholarship opportunities to assist newly admitted working professionals.

The $5,000 scholarship is presented to an incoming student who demonstrates collaborative leadership, hardworking excellence, and a commitment to learning – all traits that exemplify the values of Michigan State University and the Broad College.

This year's recipient, Audrestch, demonstrated the capacity for high personal and professional achievement, along with a commitment to seek opportunities to further his education. The scholarship committee was especially impressed with his level of accomplishment, and felt that he exemplified the values embraced by the executive-style Weekend MBA.

"We are pleased that alumni support has made the Weekend MBA Scholarship possible. The program has had a significant impact on our lives, and this is an opportunity to pay forward the benefits of the Weekend MBA," said scholarship committee chairman Jim Roberts.

Newly admitted, working career professional students who are not receiving full-funding are eligible to apply for the Broad Weekend MBA Alumni Association scholarship.

The Weekend MBA scholarship application is available online. To be considered, incoming students must submit the required scholarship information to the Weekend MBA office before January 15, 2013.
